Nucleon polarizabilities in covariant baryon chiral perturbation theory with explicit <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:mi mathvariant="normal">Δ</mml:mi></mml:math> degrees of freedom

چکیده
We compute various nucleon polarizabilities in chiral perturbation theory implementing the $\Delta$-full ($\Delta$-less) approach up to order $\epsilon^3 + q^4$ ($q^4$) small-scale (chiral) expansion. The calculation is carried out using covariant formulation of $\chi$PT by utilizing extended on-mass shell renormalization scheme. Except for spin-independent dipole used fix values certain low-energy constants, our results are pure predictions. compare calculations with available experimental data and other theoretical results. importance explicit treatment $\Delta$ degree freedom effective field description analyzed. also study convergence $1/m$ expansion analyze efficiency heavy-baryon polarizabilities.
